Support » Fixing WordPress » Problem with theme jumping halfway down the page when loading?

  • I’m having trouble figuring out why when I load a page on my blog, it automatically scrolls halfway down the page. It wasnt doing this until I installed an optimizer that was supposed to optimize css and js. However, I have removed that and I am still having this issue for some reason and I cannot for the life on me figure out why.

Now whats really odd is that when I’m on the theme customization screen, this does not happen.

Anyone have any clues or suggestions on what this might be?

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
