I wanted to adjust the appearance of the woocommerce store to the rest of the page. I copied the relevant files to my theme according to the guidelines. I waned to edit them properly, and this is where the problem appears, as they are saved in HTML5 format and my own theme on WP is xhtml. And now I don’t know if I should change it to xhtml and whether it will influence the functioning of the store, there are many tags such as: itemprop, itemscope. In general, I don’t know HTML5 very well and I don’t know whether it is needed with parsing.
On the other hand, if I left it the way it is, I would have some sub-sites in xhtml and the ones with the products in HTML5. I don’t know if it would influence, for example, positioning. Which one to choose?
