  • Hi everybody,

    i currently run an e-commerce for the company i work for, but lately i had a problem.
    I noticed that, using the search bar on the site, the search fails to find some products that actually have been properly uploaded.

    In fact, by checking on the wordpress control panel, these products result as published, clicking on “preview changes” the pages of these products work as they should, i can find these products by searching trough the sub categories and these products (if searched) appear on the search engine and they are therefore accessible by searching them on Google . But if I go to the search bar on the site and write the product name, it says “No product found”. I have noticed that this issue affects all products loaded after a certain date, while those that were uploaded before that date do not seem to have that problem.

    What could be the problem? And how can I fix it?

    The manner in which products are stored in the database changed around WooCommerce 3.0 I believe; It could be that your search section wasn’t updated to cater for this change.

    Are you seeing the same thing when using the default WooCommerce Product Search widget as well?

    Hi Riaan,
    the default WooCommerce Product Search widget is the one at the top right corner? The one i can see only as an admin? If thats the one you are talking about, yes that works, i can find the products i cant find with the normal search bar.
    So do u think i should update the search bar? What should i do?
