# Problem with the Autoptimize plugin

 * I was interested in the plugin because of its minimalist interface and installed
   it.
    I activated the plugin with the active Autoptimize plugin and received the
   message: “The WPCacheOn plugin is already active. Please disable the autoptimize
   settings.” I deactivated the HTML, Javascript and CSS minification options and
   the message persisted. It only disappeared after I deactivated the Autoptimize
   plugin. However, the site’s score decreased on both GTmetrix and PageSpeed. Which
   Automptimize setting should I disable for CacheOn to work and do I evaluate the
   results? What plugin do you recommend to use together to optimize parts of the
   site that your plugin does not? Thank you!

 * Hello [@gustavors](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gustavors/) !
 * Thank you for the feedback and the interested to the WPCacheOn plugin! I am able
   to recreate the issue with deactivating the “HTML, Javascript and CSS minification”
   options of Autoptimize and the persistent message. I will set this case to “not
   resolved” and as soon as there is more information, I will write here.
 * Our plugin will provide even better results if it is combined with image plugin
   optimization.
 * As for the score in GTMetrix and PageSpeed services, could you please provide
   us with before/after tests links, so we can review them. Thank you.
 * Best regards,
    Jeff C.

 * Hey [@gustavors](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gustavors/)
 * Thank you for your patience and understanding so far! I am very happy to finally
   update you on this topic with some good news! We have worked hard to solve the
   reported problem and instead of applying the old direct problem/solution method,
   we have tried to think out of the box and we have actually changed the minifying
   of the WPCacheOn plugin in order to work with Autoptimize without any issues.
 * We believe that everyone should be able to use whatever plugin they want for
   their websites. On the other hand, the plugins instead of interfering with each
   other, should complete their work efficiency (in one perfect world perhaps) or
   at least not making any problems between them.
 * In the latest version of the WPCacheOn plugin, which is 1.2.0, we have also addressed
   few other issues reported to us via email, enhanced the optimizations that the
   plugin make to speed your website and removed few unnecessary lines of code to
   ensure even more optimized and clean code.
 * Having this in mind, could you please update the WPCacheOn plugin to 1.2.0 version
   and check if the reported problem still exist on your end (we have tested and
   after the update, we are unable to recreate it) or if you see another problem,
   we will be happy if you share it with us. I will still not mark this case as
   resolved, so feel free to update us with your impressions.
 * Thank you!
