    Hi Mikko,
I have just installed and found everything to work well, except synonyms. I use British spelling and would like to find words when using American spelling, also foreign words that may have various transliterations in English. I have gone through the support postings, but could not find any related issue except the AND/OR one and my setting is to OR. I have put the synonyms on separate lines e.g.
    ‘color=colour’
    ‘kwan=guan’
Neither works, although color finds coloration in a search.
The words are not in the stopword list.
I have tried them in reverse order, and with and without the fuzzy setting, but nothing produces a result.
This trial is being run on a XAMPP server, could this be an issue?

Are you including the apostrophes? If you are, remove them, and it should work.

Thanks Mikko for the prompt response.
Without apostrophes it now works fine now to find the synonyms. However, it raises another question. The results have a Continue reading —> following the text snippet. Some of these are clickable links, but others are not, so the result cannot be read further. Can you assist to tell me what is causing this? My site is page-only.

    Hi Mikko,
I have done some tweaking and seem to have cured the Continue reading –> problem, although will do more testing. I removed all tags from Allowable tags in excerpts: This probably was the culprit.

Removing words from the 25 most common words in the index list still does not work by clicking on the icons, although the page refreshes. The issue can be solved by entering the words into the stopword box and refreshing the index.

That “Continue reading” thing is a minor incompatibility with your theme.

Adding stopwords from the list works for me, so hard to say what’s wrong with it – probably some kind of local incompatibility with another plugin, or something like that. Like you noticed, you can add the stopwords manually just as well.
