    Hello,

I'm using WPMU and BuddyPress on a site, a "blog farm", but when any user will register a new blog within the subdirectory, it creates no spaces between words, for example:

    http://www.adress.com/nameoftheblog or http://www.adress.com/namewithoutspace

..and my goal was to be like this:

    http://www.adress.com/name-of-the-blog or http://www.adress.com/name-with-space

    Thx

  2. I don't believe buddypress allows you to enter blog names with hyphens. Spaces will be removed, yes.

Hmm, but why it happens? I mean, it is possible to create a subdirectory with hyphens, why buddypress can't make it?

  4. Well, I know in WordPress, if it finds a space in what it's trying to build a URL from, it kicks out an error.

It;s not a question of "it can't" it's more it was coded to do that specifically. If you want it to substitute hyphens for spaces, you'll have to build a plugin.

  5. Aha, try this:

You may have to tweak it to work with buddypress.
