    I’m having some problems with the custumization of my wordpress site. I’m using the free Pinnacle theme and somehow it seems that the changes I’m trying to make in the CSS is being overwritten.

    Link to the site: http://www.blomstrande.com

    1. Site title is displayed on the far left. Is it possible to move it to the center of my main navigation menu?

    2. Tag line/slogan isn’t showing even though I’ve filled it in under general settings. Why adn how do I fix this?

    3. Top bar: why is my primary navigation menu being displayed in the top bar? How do I remove it?

    4. How do I center my footer copyright text?

    All of these feel like small problems but I just can’t get the hang of it. Thankful for any advice!

  • 1. Centering the logo is an option on the premium version of Pinnacle.

    2. Are you wanting the tag line/ title to appear in the header of each page? Be sure that you have gone to Appearance >Theme Options >Page Title and enabled “Show the page title by default.” There is also the option to control this feature within every individual page’s options.

    3. Appearance> Menus >Manage Locations is where you can control where each menu appears.

    4. Copy this CSS into Theme Options >Custom CSS

    .footercredits p {
        text-align: center;
    }

    hope that helps!

    Ah, thanks, two problems solved in the blink of an eye! And I’ll just have to make do with the site title for now.

    The problem I was having with the slogan is that I would like it to appear right beneath the site title (I haven’t uploaded a logo so the site is just using the site title) like a “subtititle”. But for some reason it doesn’t show on any of my pages. I could of course just upload a logo with both the site title and the slogan but I’ll call that plan b. 🙂

    Hya,

    Anyone know how to solve the problem of not being able to see the main text in the call to action slider?

    Stuck here, and would much appreciate the help, as need to launch my website asap.. SOS!!

    Thanks,

    Andy

    Do you have a Site Tagline set? If you go into your Theme Options >Main Settings >Logo Options >Site Tagline, you can set a bit of text to appear right under your logo.

    And LSR, please start new threads in the future. It makes it easier to refer to these issues when they come up again. If you could post a link to your site, then it would be very easy to determine why that text isn’t showing up.

    Can you confirm that you’re font color is not conflicting with the background color, making it look as though it’s not there?

    Have you tried clearing your cache to see if the changes take place after that?

    Apologies for creating confusion in the thread – I posted an individual one earlier, but as I was getting no answer, I was hoping to find one perhaps in one related (which actually was the case – thanks!)

    The colour of the text is definitely not conflicting, no.
    I’ll try and clear my cache now.

    Thanks again!

    That’s weird… When I go Appearance > Theme Options I don’t have a page called “Main settings”. I can’t seem to find the “site tagline” under “logo options”, “site header” or any of the other tabs either.

    That is strange! It should be at the very top of the list. Are you all up to date with the current version of the theme?

    Nope, not there. “Site header” is on top of the list among my theme option tabs.

    The version I’m using is the 1.3.5 and as far as I can see there are now newer updates. Could the “main settings” be missing because I’m using the free version of the Pinnacle theme?

    Ah I’m sorry! I thought I was in the Virtue theme Forums. Let me check and see if it’s possible on Pinnacle.

    Alright, so in Pinnacle theme, there is no option for the tagline. The theme’s focus is more on the “Page Title” features. So if you do want to have the tagline, your best route is going to be to edit your Logo to include it there. Again, sorry for the confusion!

    Oh, no worries! I’ll just have to rethink that design a bit. But thank you so much for your help, I got all my questions answered!
