Problem with side bars in 3.1…

So I was running 2.9 with the Swift theme and everything is fine. I upgraded to 3.1 and now the sidebars do not work on the homepage…but weirdly enough they work fine when you are viewing a specific post and I have no clue why this is. Any ideas? I tried re-installing the plugins and it didn’t work.
