Hi, Thanks for the great plugin. Huge fan.

Im trying to emplement a shortcode for Wp Optin Boxes plugin using the 2 step optin on an elementor page.

When i use the simple code it works with no problems

    [wpob id=”1″]

but when i try to use a more detailed code the page doesn’t recognize it at all:

    [wpob id=”2″ text=”download” style=”orange_gradient”]

Here is the link to the page . The detailed code is right under the simple one and not showing.

Any thoughts on a quick fix?

    Thanks,
    Avi

  • I assume you use the text-field to enter your shortcode? When in edt mode, you can switch between visual and text. Check the “text” field for added code and remove it, so that it contains the same information as the “visual” field. This solved it for my woocommerce problem at least.. Good luck!

    link to the plugin ?

I was just about to post a topic about using shortcodes from other plugins within Elementor. Not sure if this pertains to the OP’s initial concern, but figured this is as good of a place as any to mention it.

What I have found is that when placing shortcodes, they should be put into a WordPress Text widget and NOT an Elementor Text Element.

I was trying to use the shortcode for WP Show Posts and it would work initially when placed. However, when one tried to go back into editing the page with Elementor, I would get the dreaded “Content not found” warning.

Placing this shortcode in a WP Text widget cured this issue 🙂

    Cheers!

… figured out related things with shortcode from other plugins like ‘learn wp basics’.

maybe there should be an elementor-widget just for that?? (pasting code/shortcode)

Text widget is absolutely fix the problem, but anyway we are working on special widget just for shortcodes, you can follow on GitHub: https://github.com/pojome/elementor/issues/301
