    Hello,

I have a problem with the facebook shares count functionality in my website. Even though it works fine for everything else, I can’t make it to show anything other than zero just for my two latest posts. I’ve tried everything, changed theme, disabled plugins but nothing seems to work. Those two posts show zero shares, which isn’t true.

I’ve seen other people here with similar problems but no one seems to be responding. Is this plugin still supported or should I find an alternative?

    Hey Ledaki,

Thanks so much for reaching out about this! I believe you responded in one of the other threads but just in case I’ll go ahead and post what we know about this here.

From what we can tell, it looks like Facebook has made some changes to their Graph API and we’ve seen some posts (but not all) on some sites being returned as 0 instead of the actual engagement/share number.

Grow Social appears to be doing everything correctly with how we’re pulling share counts so the issue seems to stem from something on Facebook’s side of things.

There’s a few issues open with Facebook developers on this and it looks like they’re currently looking into the issue. We don’t have any sort of ETA on when something like this would be fixed since it’s on Facebook’s die of things but we’re hoping they get this taken care of ASAP.

    Hey Ledaki,

Since the Facebook share counts are returning incorrectly is something coming from Facebook’s side of things we’re going to go ahead and close this topic. If you have any future issues please don’t hesitate to start up a new thread!
