Support » Fixing WordPress » Problem with RSS feed being truncated

  • I seem to be having a problem with WordPress generating a complete/full RSS feed. All posts seem to be getting truncated.

I’ve checked the feed in a number of different RSS readers and it is cut off in the same place each time I check it.

This is the RSS feed I’m having a problem with: http://datacc.mydesert.com/feed/

I have “Full Text” selected on the Reading Settings yet it still appears to be cut off. When I toggle the setting between “Full Text” and “Summary” in the Reading Settings I do see a change — but it’s only a difference of about 20 characters and it is not outputting anywhere close to the full text of each blog post.

Any information that anyone can provide in terms of where to start looking to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • Thanks, I’ve tried the fix rss feed plugin and I’ve also tried using the feedwrangler plugin and I still have the exact same issue

Other than trying to install another 3rd party plugin (I’ve tried fix rss feed and feedwrangler) does anyone have any ideas what might possibly be causing this problem?

    Then try
    – deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). Don’t forget the ones in mu-plugins if you have that folder. If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.
