Good morning, I have the following problem.
I’m using the latest version of WP along with Woocommerce.

    I use two plugins:

    • “PublishPress Permissions” to enable access for each user to them product, with simple access by wp-admin
    • “PublishPress Capabilities”, so that the above access allows you to edit your “product” and replay to opinions.

Despite all the combinations, my user role “owner” cannot replay to users reviews, even though I gave him the ability to do so in “Capabilities” plugin.

The replay option appears only when I grant the “Edit published” in Editing Tab or “pp administer content” in PublishPress Permissions Tab.
Which also gives access to edit other users’ woocommerce products, which is a big mistake.

I read the solution from https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/moderate_comments/ unfortunately it didn’t work.

Even launching all options from the “WooCoomerce” tab does not allow replying.

In the “comments” tab I have one “moderate comments” which is enabled.

I am adding screenshots if needed: https://go.wetransfer.com/t-XzcyvdJG0r

    Please help.

    Hi @dimian90,

    Thanks for using PublishPress Capabilities.

This limitation is due to WooCommerce, where users need to have both “edit_published” and “moderate_comment” capabilities to modify and reply to reviews.

If WooCommerce hasn’t defined specific capabilities to handle review modifications, our plugin won’t be able to assign them.

I hope that explanation was clear and helpful.

    Thank you for your answer,
    I found a workaround.

In the commenting plugin, I found a fragment that checked whether you are an administrator

I changed it to “if you are the author of the product” and added a new plugin in which I can assign authors to products.

@dimian90 I’m glad you’ve found a workaround, and I appreciate you sharing it here. This way, if someone else encounters the same issue, they can apply your workaround for a solution.
