    Hey there 🙂

I have a problem with my settings of the Events calendar (free version). I want to remove the links to google calendar, iCal and the “Share this story, choose your platform” (as seen here at the end of the page: https://ude-talentscouting.de/kalender/check-up-fuer-talente/ ). I already found this tutorial: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/remove-ical-and-google-calendar-links-from-single-event-view/
I wanted to follow it, but then I got another problem: I don’t have a style.css file, I already searched for it in every possible way and I’m going kind of crazy. As I’m very new to this and I’m no expert in this area at all I’m searching for help here now. Do I have to create a file named style.css to get this changed or could it be that it’s running under a different name? If I have to create it first, where do I have to put it in my ftp folders? Or is there another way to remove (or hide) these links?

I’m very thankful for any help and I’m sorry if this is a very stupid question. Tried to figure it out by myself for a week now and I’ve got no clue of what to do.

    Thanks already!

  • Hey there @erat0o,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Most WordPress themes will use style.css in the theme folder, but you want to use a child theme or custom CSS so you don’t lose customization when you update the theme.

Our Themer’s Guide is a great place to get started with customizing The Events Calendar. It will show you where any template or style override files need to be.

    Hope that helps!

Hey @erishel and thanks for the help! 🙂

I managed to track it down to another file in the fusion-styles folder, so the original tutorial helped a lot once I got there 🙂
But I still have another problem: As soon as I edit the css file the links to iCal and Google are gone but when I refresh the page or click on a different event the buttons are back again although the css is still the same. Does anyone have an idea how that comes? :/

    Thanks a lot already!
