Problem with "Register New Subscribers as Users"

    Hi, I would like all new users added to the database, but would like to control whether they get an email and how that email looks. As of now, having that enabled generates a generic message from wordpress@mysite.com (not a real email address) with generic text and a password/activation link. Where is that message coming from??? Can it be customized?

    Or, is there an easier workaround for automatically adding newsletter subscribers to the user database.

    Thank you for your message.

    The email notification is the WordPress new user notification email. The plugin uses the wp_new_user_notification() function which sends that email.

    There are some plugins you can use to modify the way that this email looks. Such as this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/welcome-email-editor/ . Or you can manually hook and change the email content accordingly.
