 * Hey guys,
    I’m a baby user of WP and I’ve just been playing around with it. for
   the last few days. I installed a photo/quicktags hack ( [http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/2004/03/24/wordpress-javascript-quicktags/](http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/2004/03/24/wordpress-javascript-quicktags/))
   into my WP and while the photo shows up in my post, the text does not wrap around
   it properly and I find that the picture also floats above my other post. I have
   followed the tutorial on this page [http://www.mfr.f2s.com/graphicalcss/align/index.html](http://www.mfr.f2s.com/graphicalcss/align/index.html)
   and done everything it’s asking (I assume). What am I doing wrong? Or is it how
   it’s meant to be? Sorry if this has been asked before but I have searched everywhere
   with no avail. This is how my site looks at the moment [http://www.kodadesign.com.au/vault](http://www.kodadesign.com.au/vault)

 * I use the same hack — well, I don’t use the quicktags, really. And I’ve had intermittent
   problems with it, in IE (what else). Personally, I’ve taken out the clear:both,
   because I don’t need it.
    But your example on your blog does look as it’s supposed
   to be: The word “Melbourne’s” is too long to fit in the alotted space next
   to the float, so it’s dropping down to where there’s enough space, below the
   float. The top margin of the float is supposed to be aligned with the following
   block element (a paragraph, in your case), and then is pushed down by the top
   margins on the float and the image element within it. If you make your content
   area a bit wider so that “Melbourne’s” fits in, you’ll see it as intended.

 * This might help:

 * Maybe we are seeing different things. Here is a screenshot of what I’m seeing.

   What’s worrying me, is the fact that the grey background (of the post) cuts off
   1/4 of the way before the image. I would like to have the grey background go
   thru to the bottom of the picture as well. This is what happens if I use the
   clearer div. [http://www.kodadesign.com.au/images/picture2.jpg](http://www.kodadesign.com.au/images/picture2.jpg)
