  • Prior to the update, my customers have no issues. After the update, they kept encountering this problem:

    “Your purchase couldn’t be completed. There’s a problem with the merchant’s PayPal account. Please try again later.”

    What could be the cause? I haven’t changed anything.

    Which paypal gateway? Have you checked your settings over?

    this is an old thread, but since it’s still open, thought I’d bump it up.

    Having the same issue with Paypal Standard.
    No matter what theme I try. Currently testing with the default Twenty 14.
    Fresh install.

    Paypal account status is fine, Business, verified and all that.

    Have triple checked the settings and have been in touch with Paypal. They say it’s our site issue.

    One thing I noticed – and this may be irrelevant – under “Checkout” settings, I can’t pick the “Cart” page, it’s not listed at all. It’s the default page generated by Woocommerce upon install. It doesn’t show up in that list.
