Problem with Ovid theme footer

Hello. I am having an issue that popped up recently with our site-wide footer. We recently updated our WP files and plugin files and now we have this error;

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_IF, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/newvisio/public_html/wp-content/themes/ovid/footer.php on line 14

Any idea on what is causing it or how I can fix it? Thanks for your help!
