I updated the plugin and get a message of incaptability after introducing a new menu item (Coronao in akt. Themen). I use menu icons plugin and it works for the ‘established’ items as you will see on the internetsite. In the widget area of the dashboard I see the following – see image:

    Menu Problem

There is a block with if-menu and menu icon shown twice and the icon is not shown in frontend.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

    Thanks for using this plugin!

The problems described are caused by Menu Icons plugin unfortunately. Latest version of WordPress, 5.4, introduces some changes for menu items and all plugins need to adapt to this.

New hooks let you add custom fields to menu items

Menu Icons plugin doesn’t seem to be updated, and causes the problems described. As a test, you can disable that plugin or revert WordPress to any 5.3.x version, and menu items should be fine.

The only thing we can do is notify the developers of Menu Icons plugin and hope they update the plugin. I left a comment here as well https://github.com/Codeinwp/wp-menu-icons/issues

    Cheers
