Can’t embed with MU Domain mapping. It looks like the AJAX call fails.

I have WordPress default installed to wp.example.com
I have another blog on wp.example.com/bloga which maps to bloga.example.com

When I try to embed, I get errors in the JS console that wp.example.com doesn’t match bloga.example.com

So far this is useless for me, any possibility to fix this?

    Mattsnowboard,

There’s not details in your post to help at this point. For starters, please provide the following information in order for us to investigate further:

    a) the exact point/step/button in the process of embedding that yields the error
    b) the exact error message(s)

I realized I don’t need this plugin (built-in embed works fine for me), but if it helps:

    1) When clicking the button to add the embed, I get to the step to add the code and it does nothing. JS Console shows an error because the domains don’t match. I believe it is because I am using this plugin for domain mapping a multi-site and your plugin isn’t using the same domain/subdomain for the requests: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/

    2) I uninstalled so I don’t have the error message handy.

Note that you didn’t have to click that button in order to embed. The plugin leverages the built-in embed method– see oembed.

Thanks for the input though. This thread is now closed.
