# Problem with multisite

 * I have a site i had in place and then i add multisite not when i go to any of
   the new site i created any options i want to do I get sent back to the main site
 * Like activating themes, menu on the sub-site and it will not activate a theme
   at all
 * any help would be great

 * It’s a bit hard to understand what you write and you don’t give much info, but
   my guess would be that you did not update your .htaccess. [Here](https://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess#Multisite)
   you can see how it should look.
 * Could you verify/confirm that you have followed the steps to create a network
   meticulously?
