[Resolved] Problem With Moving WordPress To Another Server

    Hey,
I recently set up a website using WordPress (2.2.1) on my own, personal server. When I had finished setting up the site, I exported (and later imported) the MySQL database and moved the files onto the new server via FTP.
However, when I try to navigate around the site, the URL changes from http://www.example.com to http://localhost/ (i.e. it links back to the page on MY server). I remember having the same problem a while back with phpBB and I got it sorted out with a mod that changed the cookies to point to the new site, and I was wondering if there was any such mod for WordPress?
If anyone could give me a bit of guidance on this matter, it would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Same URL that I gave in the wp.com forums on this one. It requires you to go through the tutorial found here and change the site URL and blog URL using the database to the URL for the new site and then it should work for you.

Ahh sorry about that – I read the first part of your post, realised I was on the wrong site and opened this one, without reading the rest. Bit silly, in retrospect…
