# Problem with moving domains

 * I have a problem similar to [this one](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/151162?replies=2)
   however the solution presented does not work for me.
 * I am moving my blog from one domain to another:
    1. Ftp’ed all files from one domain to the other
    2. Exported the DB using the [following article](http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/backup/)
    3. Manually editied the DB backup file to replace old_domain with new_domain
    4. Successfully imported the DB using [this article](http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/restore/)
    5. Edited wp-config to use the new DB name on the new domain
 * When you go to my [new blog on the new domain you get the following error:](http://www.verizonfioshelp.com)
 * > Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/vfhmfm/public_html/
   > wp-includes/widgets.php on line 533
 * Any help would be appreciated.

 * I have figured out the problem. Apparently in the transfer certain characters
   were changed. Not sure how it happened but it is working again.
