    Hello!

I have installed Jetpack (3.8.0). If I activate the tool “Publicize”, some pages will not displayed anymore. Instead I get an error message like:

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, object given in /<installation-path>/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 269

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to string in /<installation-path>/wp-includes/post-template.php on line 287

It seems that it affects all pages that have been generated before Jetpack was installed. To create the pages from scratch does not solve the problem. And, the problem is not new to 3.8.0, it was already there before.

    My WP version is 4.3.1

    Thanks for any advise!

Could you try installing this plugin on your site, and let me know if it helps?

Funny. I had the same problem and looking for a solution. I found this fresh topic and that plugin worked for me.
Removing Jetpack’s Open Graph meta tags worked for me, thanks Jeremy.

Excellent! It’s worth noting that it’s only a temporary solution. If you run into this issue with Jetpack’s Open Graph Meta tags, you may run into it with other plugins in the future.

It’s most likely that your theme, or one of your plugins, creates that issue and will cause trouble with all plugins outputting things outside of the regular WordPress loop, like Jetpack’s Open Graph Meta tags.
It would be worth trying to deactivate all other plugins, one at a time, until you figure out what’s causing the problem.
