 * When I activate the Jetpack plugin and go to the “Supercharge my site” section,
   I get the following error:
   **“This site has been suspended. (Status 500)”**
 * My site is [https://bibliotecadonfrancorossi.altervista.org/](https://bibliotecadonfrancorossi.altervista.org/)
 * I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, but the issue persists.

 * Ciao [@marco00petrucci](https://wordpress.org/support/users/marco00petrucci/)!
 * I checked your site and your Jetpack connection status, and I don’t see the 500
   error you mentioned earlier, which is a good place to start.
 * The current error I see on my end indicates that there might be something else
   at your server’s end that is preventing Jetpack from connecting as expected.
   Let’s go trhiugh the following tests to see if they can help fix the connection:
 * Thanks for the update! Sorry this is still giving you trouble. We are still seeing
   a connection error in our system when testing your site. There are a few things
   I’d like to try.
    - Try to disconnect and then reconnect Jetpack. [You can follow these instructions to do that](https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#disconnecting-jetpack).
    - Ensure our IP range is fully in the allow list for your servers: [https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/](https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/)
    - Check for any security/caching plugins you may have enabled, and try temporarily
      disabling them to see if it fixes the problem.
    - Search for any firewall on your server-side that might be blocking the communication
      with Jetpack – your host should be able to help you with that.
 * Hope that’s all clear! Let me know how you get on, and we’ll take it from there
   if necessary.
 * Grazie per la collaborazione, e a presto!

 * Hi, thanks for the follow-up!
   I’ve already tried all the steps you suggested:
   I disconnected and reconnected Jetpack, checked caching/security plugins, and
   verified that there are no server-side firewalls blocking the connection.
 * The only firewall I ever had was Jetpack’s own firewall, but since Jetpack isn’t
   working at the moment, I currently have no firewall active at all.
 * The only part I didn’t fully understand is about the IP allowlist — could you
   please explain if there is something I can do from my side on Altervista, or
   if this is something only the host can handle?
 * Just to add more context: I’m using **Altervista** as hosting, which means I
   don’t have direct access to the database or the CDN configuration. Also, server-
   level configurations (like editing firewall rules or adding IPs to an allowlist)
   are not directly available to me as a user — they are managed by Altervista itself.
 * At the moment the connection issue is still there.
 * Thanks again for your help!

 * Ciao [@marco00petrucci](https://wordpress.org/support/users/marco00petrucci/),
 * Thanks for checking all the tests you could do by yourself – it helps narrow
   down the root of the issue, even f they didn’t work.

 * Because of the above-mentioned part of your message, your host needs to check
   on the IPs range and ensure our range is on their allow list. Some hosts allow
   customers to access such settings, but some hosts don’t for a number of different
   reasons.
 * Facci sapere che ti dicono, e grazie per la collaborazione!

 * Ciao [@marco00petrucci](https://wordpress.org/support/users/marco00petrucci/),
 * While you were checking on the IPs with your host, we also made a small change
   at our end; we were waiting for your reply to check if it worked – glad to hear
   you’re all set!
 * The thread is not solved 🙂 If you have any further questions or need more help,
   you’re welcome to open another thread here. Un caro saluto!
