Problem with Javascript in header

  • I’m attempting to create a blog which conforms to a new design (not created by me) for the webpage of the organization where I work. But, this new design was done entirely with tables and without style sheets, so I’ve had to completely redo it in order to create a wordpress theme for the layout (at least as far as I could tell I had to).
    The blog is at: http://www.torontobotanicalgarden.ca/wordpress_test

Javascript was used to create the drop-down menus in the header. Unfortunately, I don’t really know much about Javascript, so I pretty much just copied and pasted the code from the original html file into what seemed to be the appropriate sections of the header document. Then crossed my fingers, and tried it. In Internet Explorer it appears pretty much correctly, although the shadow behind the option lists in the drop-down menus isn’t quite right. But, in Firefox, it is much worse – the drop-down menu options appear at the top left of the entire screen.

Does anyone with some Javascript experience have any idea what I might have done wrong? Any guidance would be much appreciated!
