    Hi,

This looks like a fantastic plug-in but i’m having a big problem trying to get it working. I have followed the instructions and everything runs perfectly up until the point where i ‘run deployment’. It then shows me the old and previous file locations that are correct, yet after i hit ‘run update’ and get the final check screen such as update permalinks, i’m taken to a blank screen. When i look at the site folder it then shows that none of the key wordpress files such as wp-content, includes etc are actually there, as shown in the screenshot link below. Just a wp-config file, and htaccess, and a macosx folder.

Can anyone help me with this? I’ve tried it a couple of times and always the same problem. Any help would be very much appreciated. I’m not sure what i’m doing wrong.

    Thanks.

    Hey paa1605,

If your on a MAC you might checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:
    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
-> Find section: “2. Installer=> I’m having some issues on my MAC what might be the problem?”

There are also some other items for blank pages…

I have a similar issue – I’m on MAC but using Mozilla not Safari so it should see the .zip file ok.

Just wondering if you found a fix?

Strangely my site’s frontend actually works and displays ok after deploying, but same as the original poster, my FTP folders for /wp-content/ /wp-admin/ etc. are completely missing!

PS. Just to clarify – I can actually login to wp-admin via the browser fine, but when I look go into FTP, this folder and other wordpress folders do not display/exist there!

Did you check the package.zip to see if “wp-content” and “wp-admin” where in the package archive? If they are then you may have paths that are too long. When creating the package in step 2 of the scanner it will warn of paths that are too long.

Hi Cory, first- I love your tutorials and duplicator! I used it before to start working on my site locally using xxamp. However I have now the same problem as above. I don´t get any error messages, however once I´m done (I´m trying to copy my webpage onto my localhost) I can´t login and I get 404 errors saying that there is no such url on the server. I checked and I do not have the wp admin and wp content in the zip-
    all that´s there is this:
    [PARENTDIR] Parent Directory –
    [ ] 20140416_i..> 2014-04-17 09:42 672K
    [ ] installer-data.sql 2014-04-17 09:44 7.6M
    [TXT] installer-log.txt 2014-04-17 09:44 4.4K
    [TXT] installer.php 2014-04-17 09:42 409K
    [TXT] wp-config.php 2014-04-17 09:44 0
    [DIR] wp-snapshots/ 2014-04-17 09:44 –

however the scanner in step 2 said everything is ok (no warnings). Any advice? Thanks in advance,
