# Problem with Initial Installation

 * I go to my VM and successfully log in to mysql as the user and pw combination.
   
   I can see the database. However, when I go to the ip address and use the credentials,
   I get a database connection error establishing a database connection. I really
   don’t know what to do. This is the second time I am wiping the server, setting
   everything up only to get to this point and have it fail during the initial setup.
   Any thoughts from the Subject Matter Experts out there? Thanks in advance for
   your time! Steve

 * From Mysql 8 or MariaDB 10 you have to create the database user to work in localhost
   and with the native password
