I get a 404 page with either image link you provided, yet if I go to http://byrnecoatings.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/ I can see they are listed.
Can you list the contents of your .htaccess file?
Thanks that was the problem in my .htaccess file, that was preventing direct image urls
