    Hi,

I’ve just installed StrapVert theme, but it appears that I cannot add 4 pictures (there are 4 pictures at the 2nd half of the theme called Demo Post 13, Demo Post 15, Demo Post 17, Demo Post 11).

First of all I am not sure how to name the problem, it might be called thumbnails or so. But I’d really need to display 4 products (like shown on the theme) beneath the main product photo.

It looks like a gallery of 4 cars but there is a short description beneath each picture witch suits me very well.

    Any help welcome.

    Thanks

    Dalibor

Or, how to set up the front page to look like the one shown on the theme preview?

So to have one Picture on the left with text box on the right

beneath 4 Pictures with text boxes bellow.

    Hello Dalibor,

The main featured post plus the 4 underneath it are pulled in automatically by the theme and uses posts marked as sticky.

There are two ways to achieve the result you are looking for…

    1) Revisit your current published posts and mark the desired posts as sticky – you can find this option on the edit post screen by clicking the “Edit” link just to the right of the section marked as “Visibility:Public”

    2) When publishing new posts you can mark the desired posts as sticky – the process for doing this is the same as above.

Once you have done this these posts will appear just as they do for the preview screenshot. You can then visit the Customizer to make some adjustments to suit your needs.

Hope that helps but do let me know if you still require assistance.

    Regards,
    Zulf

    Hi, thanks for reply

I did as you suggested but it appears that notes are added. Pls see:
    http://pets.orbithealth.co.nz/site/

But still cannot make a theme as on the screenshot.

Namely on http://wordpress.org/themes/strapvert you made it is shown this way:

    first raw:

1 car with a photo on left – text box on left

secondary row: 4 cars with text box beneath.

Is there any way I can replicate the patern?

If so pls let me know.

    Many thanks

How can I attach a photo here to provide better explanation?

You can’t post images here – but you can upload them to your site or to a photo sharing site and post the link here.

As far as I can tell from the url you posted the posts are not marked as sticky and they do not have featured images set.

You need to mark the posts as sticky and each post must have a feature image attached to it – on the edit screen same side as where I pointed to the check box for marking a post as sticky, further down the screen you’ll see a link that reads “Set featured image”.

Once you have your posts configured correctly they will show up on the site same as the screenshot.

You can do as WPyogi pointed out or you can submit the links via the support ticket on the WP Strap Code websited

Great, thanks, managed to do as you suggested, it works. Thanks again.

One more question: how to set the post position, to show them beneath the main text and to show them horizontally?

Now they are just fixed one above another.

How to: Once you have your posts configured correctly they will show up on the site same as the screenshot. ?

    Thanks

Also, how to disable comments within Posts?

How to: Once you have your posts configured correctly they will show up on the site same as the screenshot. ?

Featured Posts will align horizontally on large screens (width above 1200px) and will break to align vertically for screens below 1200px.

So if you are viewing the site @1200px or less then you will see them aligned the way you describe. But if this is the issue with any screen above 1200px then that will need looking at – a link to the site would be helpful in debugging the problem.

As for comments – you can either set that sitewide via the discussion link under the Settings section or on per post basis while writing/editing a post. Please see this link for more details: http://codex.wordpress.org/Comments_in_WordPress
