I [reported it to them](https://github.com/videojs/video.js/issues/4193) and I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of it soon. I’ll work on a hack in the meantime. This is not the ideal condition for my site, but at least they are able to watch the videos without the big “play” button in the middle. Please let me know if you find a solution on your end or if you have a hack that can go around this. That’s what I told them in [my initial bug report](https://github.com/videojs/video.js/issues/4193). I apologize for not making that clear. It looks like Video.js is initializing after the browser has already started playing the video, and Video.js doesn’t get the message that the video is already playing, which is why the big play button stays up there. If you have Browserstack you would be able to confirm the same issue on Edge. I think it will solve your problem. Unfortunately it did not work. The big play button remains visible on autoplay on Firefox and Edge.
