# Problem with feed

 * Hey,
 * I got a problem. I made a <categories> field at field mapping and have put my
   own categories on each product page through the custom attribute/extra fields
   option on each product. But I got a problem. On some products it shows the categories,
   but on some it just doesn’t show and I don’t know how to fix this. I did literally
   exactly same texts and also checked capital letters etc. but everyting is the
   same. As example in the feed I did sned you can see on product ID: 13358 you 
   can see categories ‘Wonen’ but on product ID: 9808 it doesn’t show the categories,
   while I have it set-up good.

 * It is weird because on most products it does show, but it doesn’t show on ‘Etherische
   olie’ products.

 * Volgens mij kunnen we dit in het Nederlands doen? 😉
 * Er zal toch echt ergens een verschil moeten zitten tussen hoe je dit hebt geconfigureerd
   voor de verschillende producten. De plugin kan het namelijk niet voor het ene
   product wel goed doen en voor het andere product niet. Is er wellicht een verschil
   in het product type?

 * Wat bedoel je precies met product type? Enige wat verschilt is dat de ene een
   simple product is en de andere een variation product is. Maar dat zou geen verschil
   moeten maken, want ik heb meerdere velden : <subcategories> etc. die komen wel
   allemaal goed terecht. Alleen de <categories> komen maar niet bij de etherische
   oliën in de feed.

 * Heb je de “hoofdcategory” dan ook wel aangevinkt als category waarin een product
   zit?

 * hey, het heeft niks met hoofdcategory te maken. Ik heb zelf bij custom fields“
   categories” aangemaakt. Maar bij producten met varianten/variaties komt die niet
   door op de feed.

 * Dat klopt, custom fields worden bij het variable product aangemaakt, niet bij
   de variaties van dat variable product. Omdat variabele producten zelf nooit in
   de feed staan (alleen de variaties) zal je dus geen waarden terug krijgen voor
   je custom fields.
