 * Hi!
 * I recently migrated from WordPress.com to a GoDaddy hosted installation. When
   I migrated my website, all the share counts for the different posts were working
   fine. Since I installed Yoast (I’m not 100% sure, but it’s the only thing I can
   think of), some of the stats have been reset to 0.
 * I know it works with the canonical URL and the post URL, however I cannot seem
   to find a solution.

   Example of posts which should have > 300 shares on the buttons : [http://parfaitemamancinglante.com/2016/03/31/je-mappelle-maman-et-je-suis-coupable/](http://parfaitemamancinglante.com/2016/03/31/je-mappelle-maman-et-je-suis-coupable/)
 * Is there anything you guys can think of?
 * Thanks!

 * When you migrate a site, if you didn’t include the plugin and the database from
   old site properly, then your shares may start at zero.
 * The Yoast plugin has nothing to do with share counts, or tracking or managing
   that.
 * Easy to test; turn it off. If your shares are back, then you know it’s a conflict–
   which is very unlikely.
 * Also, you can use the “debug” tool on Facebook to make sure your buttons and
   OG tags are properly formatted for sharing.
 * For certain kinds of tracking you may need a FB app ID, and need to put that
   into the Yoast SEO settings.
 * None of this may be your issue, just some feedback.

 * Oh….
    make sure you disable the “remove stop words” feature in Yoast SEO. That
   might be the culprit.
