I’m running Event Tickets Version 5.1.4. on WordPress Version 5.7.2. And I’m having problems with my website repeatedly going offline/unresponsive for short periods of time. The problems seem to be caused by the Event Tickets plugin.

My website’s RAM limits are being hit and it looks like the cause is a loop/constant error from the event-tickets/events-calendar plugin: “PHP message: event-tickets/common – Log: Initializing Tribe Events”

I’m not a web developer, so I only know this because I asked a web developer to look into my problem. They said,

“I would reach out to the events ticket/events calendar plugin support and have them take a look at that error as it appears that error can cause some issue and drive up resources such as RAM as its trying to process something and looks to get stuck in some sort of loop when it throws that error, which in turn causes the RAM to go up and things like the site health page to stop loading and crash.”

Unfortunately, they [The Event Tickets, Event Tickets] don’t offer support for their FREE plugin users. Their website says, “We offer premium support for customers with paid licenses. Upgrade today for premium support with your plugins.”

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi @ccbaadmin2020,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I hope you’re doing well.

That line in your error_log file is a log entry the plugin is adding with debug purposes. It’s not actually a loop, but it’s logging each time the module is being loaded (for example on each page request).

You can disable the “debug mode” and in consequence avoid these entries by going to “Events > Settings > General > Miscellaneous Settings” and disable the “Debug Mode”.

    I hope this helps.

    Best,
    Juan.
