    Hello,
When I receive the notification of an order from my online store, the e-mail appears with rare characters, it does not write the accents or the ñ:

    =? UTF-8? Q? Receipt_of_your_quide_in_Caf = C3 = A9_natural_of_origin_colombia, _ca? = =? UTF-8? Q? F = C3 = A9_green-Buy_Caf = C3 = A9_ | _Cafe_Raizal_del_1_junio, _2018? =
Could you help me solve it?
    Thank you very much,
    a greeting

    Hi there,

WooCommerce, and most plugins sending email, send mail by using the wp_mail() function that is a core function of WordPress.

If your e-mail headers, currency symbols and other special characters are not correctly displayed, it is probably because another header will say

    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

And your mail client has trouble displaying special characters that were UTF-8 encoded. In other words, the encoding isn’t clearly stated in the header.

So the solution is to open woocommerce/classes/class-wc-emails.php

    Find
    function send( $to, $subject, $message, $headers = "Content-Type: text/html\r\n", $attachments = "", $content_type = 'text/html'

    Change to

    function send( $to, $subject, $message, $headers = "Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8\r\n", $attachments = "", $content_type = 'text/html'

Make sure you type correctly, or your order overview will break and no mails will be sent. You can test the results by adding comments to a test order.
