• Hi,

After reinstalling WP on a new VPS on OVH, I don’t receive email anymore by WP (by form submissions, or password reset for exemple). The mail box works fine when i sent an email by my own means. My reinstallation of WP was not very clean, beacause the last server was down. I just upload wp-content and change some lines on wp-config.php to run the site. There is just one problem wich is the mail notification. I searched on many topic but didn’t find the solution.

    Thank you in advance.

    Best regards.

  • When changing hosts, always make sure to check/verify and update as needed your Mail Records (MX, etc.) at the new host.

    I start here:

    https://dnschecker.org/mx-lookup.php

You can also review with the host, typically they can run some tests.

Also check for any email plugins and settings for any forms.

    Hi,

dnschecker doesn’t found any problem especially just a warning on SMTP.

How can I update Mail records ? Because the mailbox works but not when email comes from WP.

    Best regards

Please consult your web host on this. They are the best folks to help and should be able to provide that assistance.

When you point your domain to the host nameservers, you need to update at the host the mail records based on your email provider (like google, microsoft, etc.) – they vary and you get those from the email provider.

You want to be 100% positive they are accurate.
