    Dears,

    using minimatica theme from onedesigns.com
    I got a problem with all the é è à ç in all pages : they appear as if a little bit bolded, any idea where this comes from ? I thought of the database being utf8 unicode instead of utf 8 general … do you think that might be the problem ?
    thanks for your help

  • It’s nothing to do with WordPress or the database — unfortunately, the designer chose to use a font that only includes the basic ASCII characters. When that happens, the browser looks for the missing characters in the default sans-serif face for your system, which is a heavier weight.

    aaahh … ok !
    do you have an idea how to remedy this ?

    thank you

    Use a font which includes those characters.

    ok, but where should I change the font ? how to upload a new font in WordPress ?

    The stylesheet of your theme.

    the style.css ? I just need to change the font in the style.css and that’s it ?
    great ! I thought it would be more difficult than this ….

    Yes that’s it. You should use a font people are likely to have on their systems, or look up how to use web fonts.
