  • Hello,

we are using this plugin to build an event list.
For every event date and time is entered via date fields. (date_from and date_to).

We are experiencing some strange behavior:
    Example:
Someone enters two events today which are to start Nov 2nd at 10am and another one which is to start Oct 22nd at 10am.
The Oct 22nd will display correctly, the other one in November will show “starts 9am”.

The same in march, that means every time when the daylight savings time is switched on or off and events are entered in a different zone of the event date zone there’ll occur this problem.
Our idea is that when entering the date the timestamp is not calculated correctly.

Perhaps you can solve this problem or tell us the file and method where date inputs are written to the database so we can debug it ourselves.

    Many thanks in advance!

Well, Types does not really consider Time Zones.
As example we do not provide any method to additionally store a Time zone.

We simply store a Timestamp, and that is always according the Date you select in the Field.

that means every time when the daylight savings time is switched on or off and events are entered in a different zone of the event date zone there’ll occur this problem.

You must be using a 3rd party to do that, and there the conflict begins.
Types provides no method to switch timezones, lightsaving hours or similar.

Can you control this behavior with Types Only?
