Problem with creating many variations

Hello,

I have the latest version of WordPress (4.6.1) and Woocommerce (2.6.4) installed. Whenever I try to create variations, the process is taking very long (4 – 5 minutes per run for 50 variations generated) and during the process a notification appears at the top which says “connection lost…”. The process completes (most of the time, because I increased the max_execution_time parameter to 600 seconds) but it is painfully long, can something be done regarding this or is it a plugin issue? I also tried disabling all plugins except Woocommerce and enabling the Twenty Sixteen theme and the issue is the same.
