Did you try our youtube Privacy-Enhanced Mode? It uses the youtube nocookie domain which shouldn’t need cookies.
Thanks for your anser.
No, I searched and did not found where is your youtube Privacy-Enhanced Mode.
Thanks for the update.
I made a screencast for your guide – https://d.pr/v/CCeITK
I hope that helps. Please let us know if you have other questions.
Thank you for your help. I had only looked in the block settings. I made the change but unfortunately refusing ad cookies still causes the black screen.
Hmmmm… you may need to reach out to the developer of that plugin. I’m not sure why their placeholder is not appearing. We do wrap our youtube video inside our player, so it’s possible that’s causing the issue. I don’t have enough familiarity with how the cookieyes plugin is coded to offer an explanation. Have you reached out to them? Maybe there is a way to get them to work together.
One thing you could try – could you try adding a poster image to the player inside WordPress? This may appear in the absence of the video.

Yes I contacted cookieyes developpers they answer me it happens because a 3rd part plugin (you) with no more details.
I have tried with a poster image but it does not appear.
I have also tried with a native YouTube Gutenberg block and the video plays even with cookies not accepted !
Here is a test page with a PrestoPlayer vimeo block : it plays, a native YT block : it plays, a PrestoPlayer YT block with poster image : it does not plays and no Fallback.
I will try to insist with cookieye.
Thanks for help.
