• Quizzes work fine if I choose the multiple choice option. However, as soon as I try to do a cloze-type question the “start” button is no longer clickable. I have tried disabling various plugins and clicking the “raw” etc. buttons.

    I have two questions:

    1. How can I properly formulate a cloze-type question? In the answer field I use “{}” for the desired response, i.e. He throws the {ball}. But how do I write the question so that the blank space appears?

    2. Any ideas on how to get that start button working when I use cloze questions?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Here’s an update on my progress:

I figured out how to properly formulate a cloze question. You don’t need to type a question in the question field. Just type “Fill in the blanks:” and then use “{}” in the response field where you would like your blanks to appear.

The start button and the rest of the quiz works fine when I use any question type other than cloze. When I use cloze the start button doesn’t work at all.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    I’ve tried:
    – automatically starting the quiz
    – disabling all plugins
    – checking all boxes such as “raw” etc.
    – updating wordpress to the current version

Please help! I’ll be happy to donate if this can be made to work.

So I’ve narrowed it down and the problem really is the “{}” brackets in cloze-type questions. All other questions work fine. Even close-type questions work, as long as those brackets aren’t used (which kind of defeats the point).

    Any ideas? Please!

Does not work when I try, anyone got a idee how it works?
