# Problem with Cloudflare

 * Hello,
 * I have setup my domains DNS using Cloudflare.
 * Within the DNS settings:
    – There is an A record for mydomain.com pointing to
   my host IP address; – There is a CNAME record for www pointing to mydomain.com;
 * If the CNAME record is proxied by Cloudflare (with an orange cloud icon), the
   IP Based Login does not work.
 * Can you please provide a solution for this issue?

 * Hi,
 * Please go to IP Based Login settings page in WordPress admin panel -> Settings-
   > IP Based Login and in the upper right corner look for “IP Detection Preference”
   set the value in dropdown as “HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR” and click on the “Save” button
   next to it.

 * Hi,
 * HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR should work for domains configured with Cloudflare.
 * But as you said it does not work in your case, it seems you have an IPv6 hence
   it does not work.
 * At the moment IPv6 is not supported. We will add support for IPv6 soon.
