Hello. We have a number of products on our store with Chinese characters in the image file name. Imagfy has a problem with these type of characters and you get errors such as this.

Screenshot_2020-06-11-【海信Q5】海信Hisense平板Q5-10-5英寸水墨屏-阅读学习商务办公-电纸书阅读器-4GB64GB-全网通4G手机-金属灰【行情-报价-价格-评测】-京东1.png ERROR The file could not be moved to its final destination.

So this file cannot be converted to a webp image, because of the lack of Chinese character support in the plugin. Is it possible to have this fixed?

    Hi @goodereader

Sorry to hear about the issue!

We have tested this on our end as well. We have created the Issue on our GitHub repository so we will have to work on this in order to make it work as expected – https://github.com/wp-media/imagify-plugin/issues/502

I can not give you any precise estimation at this very moment, unfortunately :/

    Best Regards

Thanks for looking into it for me, I am a happy paid member. As long as its being looked into, that is fine for me! I will just make sure for the here and now, to remove Chinese characters on the upload until there is a fix.
