problem with blog

This is a link to my podcast-blogs. You see an big orange box. Only when you click on that box, the link to the podcast shows up. So the blog is hidden behind that box.
How can I get rid of that orange box? Please help!

Hello,

You can remove the thumbnail placeholder by going to Customizer -> Blog settings -> Show thumbnail placeholder and disabling it.

Thanks Cristian. Indeed: the orange box dissapeared, but now the picture that comes with the spotify-link is gone too. It now shows just a simple textbox. See again on https://luisterjegelukkig.nl/blog/

Yes, that is the one.
It’s hidden under the orange box.

Hello,

In order for an image to appear in the blog page placeholder you need to set a featured image for that respective post from Wp Admin -> yourPost -> Edit -> Set Featured Image.

Hello,

Unfortunately the image placeholder will only work if you set a jpg or png file as a featured image.

Ouch, that’s a pity.

Does this only count for posts, or also for pages?
Is there another alternative?

Hello,

The blog placeholder works only for posts.

Unfortunately no, in order to be displayed you will need an image file.
