1. Look that the $prefix var in wp-config.php is configured correctly (Same as the old one).
2. Check DB Settings again in wp-config.php

The $prefix is the same (wp_)
The DB settings in the WP-Config were copied out of the Hoster Panel.
Changes it too.

What do you mean with “Multisite installation” ?
I know that its one site with the Plugin and one Database for the Site.
There are no other sites.

When you dont have a Network on your site, you must have something wrong on the database setting in you wp-config.php or on the database setup.
The only what i can do for you is to test you database backup. Send me the .sql file and i will import it on my local system to test if there somthing worng. The mail adress is d dot huesken at inpsyde dot com
