    Hello,

I decided to deploy the Autoptimize plugin in conjunction with W3 Total Cache plugin for a good optimization solution. When I activated Autoptimize I took care to turn off minify in W3 Total Cache so there would be no conflict between the 2 plugins.

Upon inspecting my website I noticed a button changed color in a form on my home page. This form allows the user to subscribe to my Mailchimp mailing list. After filling in your info you click this button. See alexandertechniquenow.com at the bottom of the home page.

The functionality of the button with its Mailchimp integration worked, so the problem is cosmetic, not functional. Still, I don’t want the button grey so I had to deactivate Autoptimize and restart minification in W3 Total Cache.

I would not be surprised if there’s a workaround to avoid this problem, but I lack the technical skills to even begin to figure out how to fix the way Autoptimize interacts with the Mailchimp code block with the button. Just putting this out there in case there is a relatively simple solution to the problem. Thanks.

hey @missgoldieispregnant; can you try un-ticking the “also aggregate inline CSS”-option?

Wow, that actually seems to have fixed the problem. The button is maroon now, not grey.

I also did a comparison of speed using Automptimize together with W3 Total cache (minify turned of in W3) versus just W3 Total cache versus just Autoptimize. Of the 3 approaches the best seems to be to use Autoptimize together with W3 Total Cache. Google page speed is largely unaffected, but it is obsessed with image optimization and neither plugin has much to do with that.

Thank you so much for you prompt and effective assistance with my issue. I truly appreciate it!
