    Hi,

When wordfence (free version) is activated, and when I try to log in through the

    – wp-login.php -> No problem
    – admin-ajax.php -> I have the message : “The password you entered for the username %s is incorrect.”

And it’s exactly the same username, same password.

If I’m deactivating wordfence, it works well.

Somebody have a good idea to help me, please.

    Thanks,
    Jean-Marc

Hello @vamospedro and thanks for reaching out to us!

When Wordfence is active, it will use the admin-ajax.php, which will prevent login from it. A lot of the Wordfence features rely on the admin-ajax.php to operate.

Is there any reason you might need it?

    Thanks!

    Hi @wfadam ,

    Thanks for your answer!

My theme (houzez) is using it (admin-ajax.php) to log in with a modal window.

    It looks like that.

I see. Not really sure how you could get around that if your theme is also trying to use it.

Possibly your theme developer could take a look at it.

Let me know what you do find!

    Thanks!
