# Problem with adding themes/plugins from dashboard

 * Everytime I try to add a theme or plugin from the dashboard, I type in my ftp
   credentials.. and it gives me this error “Unable to locate WordPress Content 
   directory (wp-content).” I can get into the FTP itself and upload themes. But
   it’s a pain.
 * Any way to fix this short of reinstalling WordPress? Or would that even fix it?

 * All that did was created this problem “Could not create directory.”
 * After CHMODing the directory so it could write. It still can’t.
