Support » Plugin: WP Cerber Security, Anti-spam & Malware Scan » Problem with activity and lockouts

  • Hi, I recently received many messages from new customers that they cannot excess the site to buy. I wanted to check whether the are blocked to redeem it, however it didn’t show any msg on the activity and lockouts from the dashboard.

I tried rebooting the plugin and changing the preferences, and it still didn’t work…

So I’ve downloaded the previous version (wp-cerber.8.9.3) and it solved it.

However, I would like to use the most recent version. Is there a known problem with the version? If not, What can I do?

This plugin is the best security plugin and I’m using it for years! 🙂

    Thanks!

  • I’m having the same issue. Lots of complaints daily about logging in, trying to reset passwords or trying to register and being flagged as Bot or Spam behavior.

Hi, I’m using version 5.8.3 of WP (the latest I can install). As I understand this issue is regarding older versions of WP.

Any suggestion what to do? I’m still using the wp-cerber.8.9.3 because the last update had many problems for the users

    Thanks!

Same for me. Latest version of WP. I even attempted to tweak settings thinking that relaxing the rules for login/registration would help but no luck.

What are the symptoms? Please provide more details. Any log records, including ones from the server error log, will help.

    Hi,
    The symptoms were:
    1. New customers cannot excess the site to buy due to block on their IP. (Much more blocks than usual).
    2. The plugin didn’t show any message on the activity and lockouts from the dashboard of the plugin. Not even one message, it was just blank.
    3. Therefore, I couldn’t release the block on their IP.
    4. The only way to see what happens on my website was through traffic inspector, however it lacks many of the info that shown on the activity and lockouts from the dashboard. and most importantly it still didn’t solve the problem because the users still couldn’t access the website after adding their IP to the whitelist.

Changing many of the configuration of the plugin didn’t solve the issue, therefore I tried to downgrade the plugin (from the most updated to 8.9.3) and it solved it.

Regarding server error log: where can I find it?

    Thanks,
