# Problem when using italic format

 * When I write a post in Italic format, then when I post it all the blog become
   in the italic format. Why is this happening?

 * You are not closing your `<em>` or `<i>` tags. This can be done by `</em>` or`
   </i>` after the italic test, If you use the `<i>` tag to open it, end it with
   the `</i>` tag and if you use `<em>` use `</em>`.

 * Probably you haven’t closed the italics by putting the closing tage `</em>` at
   the end of the bit you want in italics. I hope you’re using `<em>` and not `<
   i>`.

 * I will try this, but I’m using the build-in editor, I’m not editing manually 
   the html code.

 * It’s not hard. Just look for the place in the text where the italics are supposed
   to end and insert the tag `</em>`. That should do it.
