# Problem uploading header while using multi-site

 * I know this question has been asked a lot but after trying all the solutions 
   I could find I still cant fix the problem.
 * So after creating my multi-site I go to upload a header image and I get this 
   error:
 * `Unable to create directory /home/content/58/8253458/html/wp-content/blogs.dir/
   2/files/2011/08. Is its parent directory writable by the server?`
 * I tried changing wp_content permissions to 777. I tried changing the blogs.dir
   to 777 but still nothing.
 * Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

 * I figured it out.
 * When following the directions for a multi-site it says to create a blogs.dir 
   in your wp-content folder. I had no idea what that meant so I made a file called
   blogs.dir. I deleted that and made a **folder** called blogs.dir and it works
   fine now.
 * Why not just say “Make a folder called blogs.dir”? :/
 * Anyway, works now.
